Congressman Bob Brady released the following statement on President Obama’s announcement tonight confirming that Osama bin Laden, the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks against the United States, has been killed:
“We all remember our horror September 11, 2001 as we watched thousands of Americans civilians being murdered in an attack on our nation. Now we will remember May 1, 2011 when we heard the news that the mastermind of that murderous attack is dead.
I applaud President Obama for his leadership and determination to bring Bin Laden down. I also applaud the skill and bravery of America’s intelligence and counter terrorism professionals. This is an absolute victory against terrorism. And it is a victory, as President Obama stated, for all who believe in peace and human dignity.”
